We are seeking an experienced, high-performing, relationship-driven Branch Relationship Banker (Personal Banker) to join our team at our South Shore (League City, TX) branch. In this role, you will engage clients, uncover financial needs, and deliver solutions that strengthen relationships and drive revenue. The ideal candidate is customer-focused with a proven track record in building relationships and driving sales.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead sales discovery and client relationship management efforts by conducting financial needs assessments and recommending tailored banking products and solutions

  • Build and manage client relationships while proactively generating business through outbound outreach, sales calls, in-branch engagement, and ongoing service support

  • Promote and cross-sell bank products and services, identifying referral opportunities (including commercial lending) and ensuring timely follow-up

  • Open and service accounts, issue ATM cards, and originate/close consumer loans while addressing client inquiries

  • Deliver comprehensive, sales-focused banking solutions that drive branch performance while providing exceptional service to new and existing customers

  • Identify and act on business opportunities to support revenue growth while effectively managing risk

  • Resolve client concerns promptly through direct resolution or appropriate escalation

  • Process Teller transactions accurately within authorized limits and handle day-to-day branch service responsibilities

  • Maintain strict compliance with banking regulations, policies, and security protocols while safeguarding client information

  • Collaborate with branch leadership to track performance goals and support overall branch operations

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of 2 years of banking experience required, preferably in a universal banker, personal banker, or comparable retail banking role

  • Proven experience in relationship-driven sales with the ability to identify opportunities, meet targets, and cross-sell banking products

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients through meaningful conversations, uncover financial needs, and build trust to deepen relationships and drive sales

  • Knowledge of consumer lending processes and ability to guide clients through loan applications

  • Broad understanding of banking products, including deposits, loans, credit cards, and investment solutions

  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills to recommend appropriate financial solutions

  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address client needs, resolve issues, and handle inquiries

  • Experience in Teller operations and new account servicing preferred

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in basic math, computer applications, and banking systems/software

  • Ability to obtain and maintain NMLS registration in compliance with SAFE Act requirements

 

Work Schedule:

 

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Saturday, 8:45 AM – 1:15 PM

 

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week). A flexible schedule within the hours listed is required.
