The ideal candidate for the Business Banking Loan Closing Manager position will have the skills and experience necessary to:


  • The Loan Closing Manager directs Loan Closing team responsible for completing all due diligence activities associated with the satisfaction of approval conditions prior to the preparation of loan closing documents.
  • These responsibilities include requesting, reviewing and critical interpretation of all third-party documents needed to provide the clear to close, and in coordinating efforts to prepare loan closing documents for real estate and non-real estate secured loans.
  • Third-party documents consist of, but are not limited to, the following: real estate appraisals, valuation services, environmental reports, flood determinations, UCC searches, title searches or commitments, insurance documents, surveys, and any other documents as required.
  • This position may also manage a team of Loan Closers in a separate geographic location who handle complex Business Banking loans.




  • Requires a Bachelors degree and 4+ years of experience in business banking and/or SBA loan operations, loan closing, or other directly related experience, managerial experience preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Requires a considerable working knowledge of due diligence requirements by product and/or collateral type including the ordering, review, and handling of appropriate third-party vendor documents.
  • Thorough understanding of all Business Banking loan products.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and Business Banking policies, guidelines and procedures regarding due diligence activities from approval to record retention including loan documentation, collateral evaluation, lien perfection, and third-party documents.
  • Strong working knowledge of the loan accounting and deposit systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of the loan accounting system, RIMS, LaserPro and other applicable systems.
  • Strong demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to make timely decisions in a fast paced, production environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills including enterprise applications and PC skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
