We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager Team Lead to join our Commercial Banking team in Northwest Crossing Houston, TX.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for leading and coaching a team of portfolio managers in various tasks including credit underwriting, risk assessment and portfolio monitoring and maintenance.
  • Responsible for spreading and analyzing financial statements, addressing industry risks, collateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing, credit analysis, monitoring credit performance, and loan presentations. 
  • Responsible for relationship portfolio management, conducting relationship reviews and recommends products and services that meet clients financial needs. 
  • Responsible for leading members of a team, coaching a team to develop new relationships, grow existing relationships through cross selling while providing a high level of client satisfaction. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requires a bachelor's degree in banking, finance or a related field and 8+ years commercial lending, credit analysis, underwriting or other directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications. 

  • Expert knowledge of commercial banking, credit analysis, underwriting, lending, loan processing and closing processes. 
  • Ability to evaluate commercial banking loans, client relationships, and cross sell bank products. 
  • Requires exceptional risk assessment and leadership ability. 
  • Expert experience in applicant interviewing. 
  • Excellent problem resolution and judgment skills. 
  • Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance. 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to train, lead and mentor a team of portfolio managers. 
  • Working knowledge of a software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets. 
  • Excellent supervisory or leadership skills required.
