Amegy Bank, a division of Zions Bancorporation, N.A., is looking for an experienced International Relationship Manager in Houston, TX to join the International Banking team. The ideal candidate possesses a talent and passion for business prospecting and client relationship development, focused on clients involved in Trade Finance and Foreign Direct Investment.


International Banking is a full-service lending group with expertise in financing solutions focused on exporters, importers, U.S. subsidiaries of foreign parent companies, and international corporates. The candidate will be responsible for generating and structuring credit enhanced and conventional loans by proactively calling, developing, and maintaining relationships externally in the marketplace and internally by working with C&I Lenders, Private Bankers, Specialty Lenders, Energy Lenders, and Business Bankers.


The Banker is responsible for developing strong commercial relationships while maintaining quality customer service. Additional responsibilities include:


  • Managing relationships for new and existing clients with a strong focus on quality customer service
  • Responsible for sales, credit analysis, proper loan structuring, client interviewing and perceptive character judgment.
  • Continually well versed in industrial, economic and financial situations as well as regulatory requirements relating to international banking.
  • Cross-sell other bank products.
  • Other duties as assigned. 




  • Requires a bachelor's degree in business or a related field and 2+ years’ experience in selling financial services products in Trade Finance and Foreign Exchange or other directly related experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements
  • Working knowledge of credit and lending practices and specific international trade products and banking services, including depository services required.
  • Working knowledge of working capital guarantee loans or other credit enhanced financing required
  • Must have strong business development skills, with some experience in selling Trade Finance solutions, including EXIM Bank programs, Foreign Direct Investment, Trade Cycle Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Credit Insured Lending, Export Trade Services, Letters of Credit and Foreign Exchange
  • Must exhibit the ability to develop advisory relationships with clients, prospects, and bankers.
  • Experience with working capital guarantee loans or other credit enhanced financing is preferred.  
  • Must have problem resolution, decision making and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office
