The Learning & Development Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership to the corporate trainers by modeling the highest level of internal customer service and hands on expertise in retail banking operations.   The role is based in Houston, TX.  This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.  The ideal candidate for this role will have the skills and experience to fulfill the following job responsibilities and qualifications:


  • Responsible for supervising the day to day training functions and staff.
  • Coordinates training and staff development programs for associates.
  • Coordinates programs for specific sites and customers.
  • Manages, delivers, and optimizes team and enterprise-level projects
  • Works closely with partners on complex processes, as well as desire to own and manage multiple projects. 
  • Partners with division leaders on needs analysis and identifies training solutions to solve business issues
  • Conducts and facilitates general and specific training programs for organization employees and leaders.
  • Keeps records, gathers and analyzes information from instructor evaluations and monitor progress of facilitators
  • Presents complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Supports the enterprise in achieving training and development objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with legally and company mandated training requirements as required.
  • Trains instructors in effective techniques for training.
  • Partners with HR and business leaders to training programs that support ongoing business needs as needed.
  • Interviews and has input on hires and performance evaluations.
  • Other duties as assigned.




  • Requires a college degree in Business, Communications, Organizational Development or a related field and 2+ years experience of organizational learning, leading and developing training teams, programs or other directly related experience.
  • Some supervisory or leadership experience required.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Solid knowledge  and/or hands on experience with bank teller and new accounts procedures
  • Knowledge of organizational learning, training programs, employee training, and facilitation.
  • Strong customer service, problem solving, analysis and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid presentation and facilitation abilities.
  • Ability to lead and train entry-level staff.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, reporting and document publishing tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to facilities occasionally.
  • Capability to do the work of the group.
  • Ability to set and maintain high quality work standards.
