We are seeking a seasoned and service-driven professional to join our team as a Senior Client Service Associate (Lead Teller) at our Westchase City Banking Center in Houston, TX. In this role, you will lead daily teller operations, set the standard for outstanding client service, and collaborate with branch/banking center leadership to achieve operational and sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage daily vault operations, including opening and closing the vault, controlling vault cash, and distributing cash to Client Service Associates.

  • Maintain appropriate cash levels, place currency orders as needed, and validate all cash shipments received by the branch/banking center.

  • Perform daily transaction reconciliations, review Client Service Associate performance, and generate required reports.

  • Observe daily work assignments to ensure Client Service Associates comply with established bank policies and procedures.

  • Assist with coaching and mentoring Client Service Associates, while overseeing scheduling, workflow coordination, and daily operations.

  • Partner with the Branch Service Manager and/or Branch Manager to ensure efficient daily branch/banking center operations.

  • Provide outstanding customer service by uncovering clients’ needs and connecting them with appropriate products and services.

  • Proactively identify client needs and generate cross-selling opportunities for bank products and services.

  • Resolve client concerns through direct action or by referring clients to appropriate branch/banking center or bank resources.

  • Adhere to all bank security policies while safeguarding the confidentiality of bank records and client information.

  • Meet daily with the Branch Service Manager and/or Branch Manager to review progress toward individual and branch/banking center performance goals.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support branch/banking center operations and client service.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail banking, teller and vault operations, and cash handling.

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a banking or financial environment is preferred.

  • Proficient in cash handling, balancing procedures, and the use of banking software systems and equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.

  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

  • Effective leadership abilities with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of banking products and services is preferred.

  • Experience meeting or exceeding sales goals and referral targets is preferred.

  • Proficient in cross-selling banking products tailored to clients’ specific financial needs.

  • Consistent, reliable attendance and exceptional time management skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while consistently maintaining professionalism.

 

Work Schedule:

 

  • Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

 

This is a full-time position: 40 hours per week. Must be able to work a flexible schedule within the hours listed above.
