Zions Wealth Management group is a specialized division within the bank that offers comprehensive financial services to affluent, high-net-worth individuals, families, and businesses. These services often include personalized investment strategies, financial planning, estate and tax planning, business succession planning, and risk management. The primary goal of a wealth management group is to help clients grow and preserve their wealth while providing expert guidance to navigate complex financial situations and achieve their long-term financial objectives. Zions Wealth Management is a strategic focus for Zions Bancorporation, an organization that expands across eight affiliate banks in the Western United States.

We are currently in search of a dedicated Wealth Planner to join our team of bank partners.  This position can be located in either Houston, TX or Salt Lake City, UT.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Senior Wealth Planners and Wealth Planning Strategists in the creation and delivery of comprehensive wealth plans for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Lead the data gathering process, initial document review, data entry and modeling, and deliverable creation for client meetings.
  • Review and analyze investment and insurance statements, tax returns, estate planning documents, and business entity documents.
  • Model scenarios for client decisions related to retirement, education funding, charitable giving, business succession, and wealth transfer.
  • Develop content to educate clients on various financial planning concepts.
  • Research financial, tax, and legal issues, consulting with accountants and attorneys as needed.
  • Serve as a resource to Wealth Advisors by addressing financial planning questions and providing guidance on utilizing planning software tools.
  • Participate in client meetings to develop effective presentation skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CFP®, CPA, or JD preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial planning or tax planning, specifically for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.  5+ years highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, tax, estate planning  and wealth transfer planning techniques.
  • Proficiency with financial planning software, primarily eMoney.
